Glimpses from the Parent Awareness Camp on Early Detection of Kidney Diseases in Children held at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on 4th May 2025 👶🏼🩺

Organised by the Division of Paediatric Nephrology & Renal Transplantation, the event aimed to educate families about the prevention, early diagnosis, and management of kidney diseases in children.

• Dr. Shivangi Puri – “Acute Kidney Injury”
• Dr. Mausam Jayswal – “Urinary Tract Infection”
• Dr. Vivek Kumar – “Nephrotic Syndrome”

A key highlight was the book release of “Acute Kidney Injury in Children” – a comprehensive guide crafted by leading specialists to support early detection and effective management.

The day also included:

• 🎨 A colourful drawing & painting competition themed “Healthy Kidneys, Healthy Life”
• 🩺 Free kidney screening
• 🎭 A fun-filled magic show for the little ones

Dr. Pruthi highlighted the need for early intervention, and the event addressed crucial topics such as antenatal ultrasound for kidney anomalies, managing childhood UTIs, hypertension, and dietary care in kidney disorders.
