On March 4, 2025, a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research (ACBR), University of Delhi, paving the way for a dynamic partnership in biomedical research and academic collaboration. The MoU was officially signed by Dr. Vikas Gupta, Registrar, University of Delhi, and Dr. Ajay Swaroop, Chairman, Board of Management, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Padma Shri Dr. D. S. Rana, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, who spoke about the importance of collaborative healthcare research in addressing national and global medical challenges.
Dr. Sunit Singh, Director of ACBR, provided an insightful overview of the University of Delhi's vision and ACBR's research strengths, expressing optimism for meaningful joint initiatives. Padma Bhushan Prof. N. K. Ganguly, former DG, ICMR and Chairman, Department of Biotechnology and Research, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, highlighted key academic and scientific contributions of the department. Dr. V. K. Malik, Senior Consultant and Dean, GRIPMER, shared ongoing academic activities and the commitment to excellence in postgraduate medical education. Dr. Satish Saluja, Senior Consultant and Sub-Dean, GRIPMER, delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the collaborative spirit and future opportunities. The event commenced with a welcome note by Dr. Rashmi Rana, Consultant and Coordinator for SGRH-DU collaborative initiatives, who also successfully coordinated the entire program. The ceremony was attended by several renowned clinicians from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and faculty members of ACBR, symbolizing the mutual dedication to impactful biomedical advancement.
