Dr. (Prof.) Amrendra Pathak completed his MBBS (Hons) and MS from RIMS, Ranchi, and earned his M.Ch. in Urology from the world-renowned PGIMER, Chandigarh. After completing his super-specialty training, he served as the Head of the Department of Urology at Hindu Rao Hospital and North Delhi Medical College.
At a time when urology departments were limited to large hospitals, Dr. Pathak is credited with establishing the Department of Urology at Hindu Rao Hospital, significantly benefiting numerous patients, particularly from underprivileged backgrounds. During this period, he gained expertise in advanced laparoscopic and robotic urological surgeries through rigorous training and fellowships at AIIMS, New Delhi.
He joined Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in 2014 and quickly rose to become one of the leading urologists in the institution. Currently, he serves as Vice Chairman and is an eminent Professor and Faculty Member in the Department of Urology at GRIPMER.
With over 22 years of experience in both public and private healthcare sectors, Dr. Pathak has successfully performed more than 7,000 major endoscopic and reconstructive urological surgeries. A visionary and pioneer in his field, he established the Hypospadias Clinic at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and has performed over 200 successful hypospadias surgeries.
He was honored with the Achiever’s Award by the Delhi Urological Society in 2012 and again in 2023 for his outstanding contributions to urology in both public and private sectors.
