Dr. Ganesh Shivnani is a renowned cardiac surgeon, famous both in India and abroad for his commendable work in the medical field. He is one of the rare cardiac surgeons to feature in the LIMCA BOOK OF RECORDS in 2012 & 2016 for performing the most successful bypass surgeries. He has featured in the Limca Book of Records twice: the first time in 2012, for performing the most successful bypass surgeries — 433 bypass surgeries without any deaths in hospital. He improved upon this in 2016, when he performed 446 surgeries without any deaths from February 2013 to February 2015. With 10,000 bypass surgeries in a career spanning close to 30 years, Dr. Shivnani has earned the respect of almost every cardiac surgeon practising in India. Not only in bypass surgeries, but his 100% success rate also applies to valve repairs and replacements.
There are numerous reasons behind Dr. Ganesh Shivnani’s success, with the foremost being the rigorous training he received from the premier institute of India — Christian Medical College, Vellore. He pursued M.Ch in cardiac surgery from the same institute in 1994.
