Dr. Shikha Halder

Dr Shikha Halder completed her MBBS from Osmania University, Hyderabad in 1987 and completed her MD (Radiotherapy) from Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) in 1994

She has been working in the field of Radiation Oncology for the last 30 years.

She held the following assignments

• Clinical Assistant at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute New Delhi
• Consultant at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital New Delhi
• Senior Consultant & Senior Director at BLK-MAX Superspeciality Hospital New Delhi
• She was a Clinical Observer at The Middlesex Hospital London from July 1995 to July 1996.
• She received the following fellowships
• DST fellowship of the Government of India
• Takahashi fellowship (University of Nagoya) Japan

She has experience of establishing three cancer centers (BLK Hospital New Delhi, SAIMS Indore, RJSP Ranchi) as the Director and promoter of Roentgen Oncologic Solutions Pvt Ltd

She has written 5 book chapters and published 20 research papers in internationally indexed journals

She has large experience and interest in using all modern radiation techniques viz IGRT, IMRT, 3DCRT, SBRT, SRS, and brachytherapy and has worked on all modern radiation equipment including Tomotherapy and Cyberknife.

She also started Total Body Radiation as a part of bone marrow transplant protocol at BLK super-specialty Hospital New Delhi in 2012 and has the experience of treating 900+ to date.

She started the DNB program in BLK Max in the year 2022 and has been the guide to DNB students.
