He currently serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Institute of Chest Surgery, where he is recognized for his expertise in complex thoracic cancer surgery, utilizing advanced minimally invasive, VATS, and robotic-assisted techniques.
Dr. Roman Dutta’s academic and clinical foundation is rooted in India’s most prestigious institutions. He completed his MS in General Surgery from PGIMER, Chandigarh, and underwent rigorous subspecialty training in thoracic and thoracic oncologic surgery at AIIMS, New Delhi. Expanding his expertise globally, he completed advanced training in robotic thoracic surgery at IRCAD–EITS in Strasbourg, France, and an observership at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA.
