New Delhi: Experts at the Indian Rheumatology Association (IRACON 2025) revealed that nearly 70% of autoimmune disease patients in India are women. Hormonal fluctuations, genetic factors, and lifestyle stress were cited as key contributors. Dr. Neeraj Jain, Vice-Chairperson, Rheumatology & Clinical Immunology - Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, noted that “Environmental and behavioural factors in India further aggravate the problem.”
