Head and neck cancer refers to a variety of cancers that develop in the head and neck area, including the oral cavity, throat, larynx, hypopharynx, thyroid cancers, salivary gland tumors, paranasal sinuses, and nasal cavity, among others. The most common cancer affects the lateral border of tongue than followed by buccal mucosa, and voice box and thyroid cancers. Head and neck cancers (HNCs) are the seventh most common malignancy diagnosed worldwide, responsible for around 325,000 deaths and 660,000 new cases annually.
