HEAD AND NECK CANCER

Head and neck cancer refers to a variety of cancers that develop in the head and neck area, including the oral cavity, throat, larynx, hypopharynx, thyroid cancers, salivary gland tumors, paranasal sinuses, and nasal cavities, among others. The most common cancer affects the lateral border of the tongue followed by buccal mucosa, voice box, and thyroid cancers. Head and neck cancers (HNCs) are the seventh most common malignancy diagnosed worldwide, responsible for around 325,000 deaths and 660,000 new cases annually.
