SGRH 08 Mar 2026

Sir Ganga Ram Hospital’s Cancer Connect 2.0 brought together 450+ oncology experts, clinicians, researchers, and trainees for a three-day multidisciplinary academic exchange dedicated to advancing cancer care, research, and education.

The conference featured the first-ever Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Masterclass, conducted in collaboration with Amrita Hospital, along with specialised workshops spanning Gynaecologic, Head & Neck, GI, GU, Thoracic, Breast Oncology, Haematology, Palliative Medicine, Molecular Oncology, Genetics, Onco-Critical Care, and Paediatric Pathology.

A key highlight was the launch of the SANGAM Oncology Awards, inspired by the legacy of Dr. Shyam Aggarwal, Chairperson - Medical Oncology, recognising exceptional clinical contributions in oncology. The conference also explored the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in cancer diagnosis and treatment, reflecting the future direction of oncology innovation.

The event was graced by Brig. Dr. Kakkar as Chief Guest, whose mentorship has guided many clinicians in their medical careers. Another significant milestone was the unveiling of the logo for SAJAOG - South Asian Journal of Applied Oncology and Genetics, a new academic journal led by the Departments of Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Genetics to strengthen research collaboration across South Asia.

The conference was by organised by Dr. Aditya Sarin, Consultant - Medical Oncology under the leadership of Dr. Shyam Aggarwal, Chairperson - Medical Oncology, along with the support of the Sir Ganga Ram Trust Society and the Board of Management.

With growing participation and plans for international collaborations - including discussions with Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore - Cancer Connect continues to strengthen multidisciplinary dialogue in oncology.

The journey now moves forward with Cancer Connect 3.0, scheduled for February 2027, promising an even broader academic and global collaboration platform in cancer care.
